Signs to identify fake job offers:

  1. Asking for money 
  2. Looking for confidential information (Credit Card / OTP / Aadhar / PAN Details, etc).
  3. Offering easy hiring criteria (on-the-spot offer, no interview).
  4. Badly written job advertisements (incorrect spelling and grammar).
  5. Luring with a salary beyond expectation.
  6. Using the name of the job portal (fake domains)

Ways to protect yourself against job fraud:

  1. For any job offer, including from overseas entities, first, confirm the identity and contact details of the employing company / its representative.
  2. Do not make payments on unknown job search websites.
  3. Refuse to make any payment for job offers.
  4. Do not share personal/bank account/OTP/ Credit or Debit Card details with anyone.
  5. Verify online presence and reviews of the recruitment firm or job portal.
