  • Akshara Vidyaashram is a 30 year institution started with a singular vision of making schooling happy for children.
  • The campus is a lush green frosted 25 acres on the banks of River Pennar, Cuddalore. We believe in further protecting the biodiversity of this place and getting children closer to nature.
  • We are a CBSE school with a Waldorf inspired Kindergarten and entrepreneurship focused high school. The school has been a pioneer in innovation for the last 3 decades.
  • The school caters to 500 students and 50 staff. We believe in enriching not just the mind but the body, mind and soul of children.
  • We believe in treating staff and students with respect and bringing out the best in each individual via self reflection and mentoring. The day starts for all staff with a quiet time (for strengthening the self) and for all children with an hour of sports. We believe in building a community of thoughtful individuals.
  • We are looking to implement project based learning (PBL) in middle school in the coming academic year. While our intentions and larger vision has always been aligned to sustainable living we also plan to further integrate our curriculum to hands-on sustainability practices.
