Job Description

Location: Shollinganallur, Chennai
Position: Full-time
Experience Required: Preferably 2-3 years, but fresher candidates with the ability to join immediately are also welcome.

Job Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate English Faculty member for our IGCSE curriculum at Gateway Schools, Shollinganallur, Chennai. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and teaching skills, with a solid understanding of IGCSE English standards and pedagogy. The teacher will be responsible for teaching English language and literature to students at IGCSE Level A, creating a dynamic classroom environment, and fostering student engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach English (Language and Literature) to IGCSE students.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans and assignments.
  • Monitor and assess student progress through regular assignments, quizzes, and exams.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to students to improve their learning outcomes.
  • Participate in school-wide events and meetings as required.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities related to English, such as debate clubs or drama.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of teaching experience, preferably in IGCSE or an international curriculum.
  • Fresher candidates who are ready to join immediately will also be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of the IGCSE curriculum.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Passion for teaching and mentoring students.
