Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) of Physical Education to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for physical fitness, sports, and holistic student development, while promoting healthy lifestyles. As a PGT Physical Education Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching students from [Grade 9 to Grade 12] and encouraging them to participate in physical activities that promote fitness, teamwork, and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities
– Instruction: Plan, organize, and implement a dynamic Physical Education curriculum for students, aligning with academic standards and school policies.
– Physical Fitness: Design and conduct exercises, training, and fitness activities to improve students’ physical health, stamina, and sportsmanship.
– Sports Coaching: Prepare students for inter-school, state, and national-level sports competitions; provide coaching in various sports like basketball, cricket, football, athletics, and others as needed.
– Health & Wellness: Teach students about the importance of nutrition, personal hygiene, injury prevention, and overall well-being.
– Assessment: Evaluate students’ physical performance through tests, projects, and class participation, and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
– Student Engagement: Motivate and encourage students to actively participate in sports and physical activities, both inside and outside the classroom.
– Classroom Management: Maintain discipline in the PE environment, ensuring a safe and inclusive space for all students.
– Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student progress, fitness levels, and participation in activities and events.
– Collaborative Work: Work closely with other educators and staff to integrate physical education with the overall educational program and help students develop a balanced lifestyle.
– Extracurricular Activities: Oversee and participate in the organization of school-wide sports events, physical fitness programs, and outdoor activities.
– Professional Development: Continuously update knowledge in sports science, physical fitness, and education techniques to provide the best learning experience to students.

Qualifications & Skills
– Educational Qualifications:
– Master’s degree in Physical Education (M.P.Ed.) or equivalent.
– Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed.) preferred.
– Certification in First Aid and CPR is desirable.

– Experience:
– Minimum of [2-3] years of experience teaching Physical Education at the senior secondary level (Grade 9-12).
– Proven track record in coaching sports teams and organizing events.

– Skills:
– Strong understanding of fitness training, injury prevention, and sports management.
– Ability to work with students of different age groups and abilities.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to inspire and motivate students to adopt healthy lifestyles.
– Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
– Knowledge of current trends in physical education and sports.
