Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, preparing financial statements, and supporting audits and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and experience in managing complex accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) or IFRS.
- Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights into performance, trends, and variances.
- General Ledger Maintenance:
- Oversee and maintain the general ledger, ensuring proper classification and reconciliation of accounts.
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments as needed.
- Review and reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor budget-to-actual performance and provide variance analysis.
- Support management in strategic financial planning.
- Internal Controls and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and relevant laws and regulations.
- Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent errors or fraud.
- Coordinate and support external audits and other regulatory requirements.
- Tax Reporting and Compliance:
- Assist with the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Monitor and update tax-related accounts, including income tax provisions, VAT/GST, and other indirect taxes.
- Team Leadership and Mentoring:
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff and assist with their professional development.
- Review and approve work completed by junior accountants or accounting assistants.
- Process Improvement:
- Continuously review and improve accounting processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial operations and reporting systems.

- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
