The Abhiyan Bharat movement (registered as a charitable trust) was started in 2012 by prominent entrepreneurs from the financial services sector of India.

The driving idea behind Abhiyan Bharat was that while education had played a crucial role in their attaining professional, social and financial success. It was this understanding of importance of education that they decided to do something in the field of education and make it means of paying back to the society. Trustees intend to promote the cause of education as an endeavor to provide under-privileged individuals a kick start in life.
