Job Title: Admission Counselor

School: Agasti International School

Department: Admissions & Marketing

Reporting To: Principal / Management

 

Role Overview

The Admission Counselor will manage the complete student admission lifecycle—from inquiry handling to successful enrollment. The role requires exceptional communication, counseling ability, relationship management, and proactive outreach. The Counselor shall contribute significantly to admission growth, parent trust-building, and strengthening the school’s brand reputation.

 

Key Responsibilities

Admissions & Counseling

  • Handle inquiries received through phone calls, walk-ins, emails, social media, and other channels.
  • Counsel parents and students on school curriculum, facilities, teaching methodology, values, and admission procedures.
  • Conduct campus tours and professional presentations to parents.
  • Guide parents through documentation, fee formalities, and onboarding support.
  • Maintain consistent follow-ups to convert inquiries into admissions.

Outreach, Relationship Building & Field Engagement

  • Conduct home visits to prospective parents and existing parents whenever required.
  • Participate in and execute outreach programs, community interactions, field promotions, school visits, and marketing initiatives to increase admissions.
  • Build long-term trust-based relationships with parents through consistent engagement and support.
  • Address parent concerns professionally, ensuring satisfaction and retention.

Administration & Coordination

  • Maintain detailed admission records, inquiry database, follow-ups, conversions, and reports.
  • Coordinate with academic departments, administration, transport, and accounts for seamless student onboarding.
  • Prepare reports and MIS for management review.

 

Work Approach & Professional Attitude (Very Important)

  • Must be ready to work beyond fixed hours whenever required, with a “do not watch the clock” attitude.
  • Should demonstrate commitment, passion, and ownership towards achieving admission targets and institutional goals.
  • Must be proactive, self-driven, disciplined, and result-oriented.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Graduate / Post Graduate in relevant discipline.
  • 2–5 years’ experience in admissions, counseling, or front-office preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills in English / Hindi proficiency desirable.
  • Strong convincing skills, pleasant personality, and high professionalism.
  • Computer proficiency and familiarity with MS Office / CRM tools.
