About the School

‘Basil Woods’ is an early learning initiative of National Institute of Value Education (NIVE) to inculcate universal values and ethics along with imparting physical/cognitive learning in the formative years of early childhood development. Basil Woods currently runs four – K12 schools and ten preschools across Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Bhubaneshwar in India.

NIVE focuses on imparting value education and life skills to students of all ages. The founding team of NIVE includes the trustees of Akshaya Patra, which is the world’s largest NGO-run mid-day meal program catering to over 1.7 million schoolchildren in 11 states of the country.

Position Details

Position Title: Day Care Teacher

Role Type: Teaching

Key Responsibilities

The Day Care Facilitator is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children in a day-care setting. This role involves supervising children, implementing age-appropriate activities, assisting with daily routines, and maintaining communication with parents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a busy environment.

Qualification & Eligibility Requirements

• Early Childhood Education (ECE) certification or degree (Required).
• Experience working with young children (2-4 years) in a day-care or similar setting.
• Knowledge of child development and the ability to create age-appropriate learning activities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• First Aid certification (preferred).
• Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with children.

Minimum Educational Qualification: Graduation

Experience Required: Freshers / 1–3 years
