The Premia Academy is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Economics Teacher to join our academic team for Grades 8 to 12. The ideal candidate will have strong subject expertise, excellent communication skills, and a student-centric approach to teaching, with the ability to inspire curiosity and critical thinking in learners.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Economics lessons aligned with the school curriculum and academic standards.

• Teach Economics to students from Grades 8–12, ensuring concepts are simplified and made relevant through real-world examples.

• Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments to evaluate student progress effectively.

• Incorporate modern teaching methodologies, including project-based learning, case studies, and interactive classroom sessions.

• Prepare students for board examinations (CBSE/IB/IGCSE — update as applicable).

• Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students.

• Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.

• Create a positive classroom environment that encourages active participation and critical thinking.

• Collaborate with fellow teachers and department heads on curriculum planning and enhancement.

• Participate in school events, parent–teacher meetings, and staff training.

• Uphold and promote the values and ethos of The Premia Academy.

🔹 Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics; B.Ed preferred.

• Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience at middle and senior school levels.

• Strong command over Economics concepts, theories, and practical applications.

• Excellent spoken and written communication skills.

• Ability to integrate technology into teaching (smart boards, online tools, etc.).

• Passion for teaching with a commitment to student development.

• Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.
