📝 Overview of the Job – Pre-Primary Teacher

📋 Responsibilities and Duties:

đŸ« Academic & Teaching Responsibilities

    • Plan and deliver daily English lessons aligned with CBSE curriculum and the school’s learning objectives.
    • Teach core English skills — reading, writing, speaking, listening, vocabulary, and grammar — through age-appropriate methods.
    • Prepare and use interactive teaching aids, audio-visual content, and learning tools to enhance classroom engagement.
    • Design and implement creative activities such as storytelling, role play, reading circles, phonics games, etc., to build language confidence.

    📝 Assessment & Evaluation

    • Conduct regular formative and summative assessments to evaluate student progress.
    • Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavior.
    • Prepare report cards and participate in parent-teacher meetings to discuss student performance.
    • Use assessment data to modify teaching strategies and offer remedial support when needed.

    📚 Classroom Management

    • Create a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning.
    • Establish routines and rules that encourage discipline, punctuality, and responsibility among students.
    • Promote positive student behavior and manage conflicts with patience and fairness.

    đŸ€ Collaboration & Communication

    • Collaborate with co-teachers, subject coordinators, and the principal for lesson planning, activities, and assessments.
    • Communicate regularly with parents to share updates on class activities, assignments, and student progress.
    • Participate in school functions, assemblies, literary events, and other co-curricular programs.

    📈 Professional Responsibilities

    • Attend all staff meetings, training sessions, and workshops conducted by the school or CBSE.
    • Continuously update subject knowledge and adopt innovative teaching practices.
    • Contribute to school development initiatives, including academic planning, discipline, and extracurricular events.
    • Support students with special learning needs, with sensitivity and adaptability.

🎓 Qualifications and Experience:

✅ Educational Qualifications:

  • Graduate in English or any discipline with strong English language proficiency

  • B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) from a recognized institution (mandatory as per CBSE norms)

  • Additional certifications in phonics, spoken English, or language pedagogy will be an added advantage


✅ Teaching Experience:

  • Minimum 1–3 years of teaching experience at the primary level (Classes I to V)

  • Experience in CBSE curriculum schools is preferred

  • Freshers with strong communication skills and teaching aptitude may also be considered

⏰ Working Conditions:

  • Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (8 hours/day)
  • Working Days: Monday to Saturday (Half-day/off on selected Saturdays)
