Job Profile – Hindi Teacher

Position: Hindi Language Teacher
Department: Languages
Reports to: Principal / Academic Coordinator

Role Summary

The Hindi Teacher will be responsible for teaching Hindi as a second/third language as per CBSE curriculum, fostering language proficiency, cultural appreciation, and communication skills among students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Hindi (reading, writing, speaking, grammar, and literature) as per CBSE guidelines.
  • Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and activities that suit different learning levels.
  • Encourage students to develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in Hindi.
  • Assess and evaluate students’ performance through tests, assignments, and projects.
  • Organize co-curricular activities like debates, skits, storytelling, and poetry recitation in Hindi.
  • Maintain records of students’ progress and share feedback with parents during PTMs.
  • Promote Hindi culture and heritage through celebrations, assemblies, and events.
  • Use innovative methods (storytelling, role play, digital tools) for joyful learning.
  • Collaborate with other teachers for interdisciplinary activities and projects.
  • Ensure discipline, inclusivity, and a positive classroom environment.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Hindi / Literature (B.A./M.A. in Hindi).
  • B.Ed. (mandatory for CBSE schools).
  • Prior teaching experience in CBSE / ICSE schools preferred.
  • Proficiency in Hindi and good command of English for communication.
  • Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
  • Passion for teaching and ability to connect with children.
