Lab Assistant (Physics / Chemistry / Biology)

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and organize laboratory equipment, chemicals, and materials for practical sessions
• Assist teachers during laboratory experiments and ensure smooth execution
• Maintain proper storage and labeling of chemicals, glassware, and instruments
• Ensure safety protocols and cleanliness in the laboratory at all times
• Check and calibrate lab instruments regularly to ensure proper functioning
• Assist in setting up and dismantling experiments for classes 6–12
• Maintain accurate inventory records of laboratory materials and requisition supplies as needed
• Dispose of waste materials safely as per school and CBSE safety norms
• Support in science exhibitions and practical examinations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Science (Physics, Chemistry, or Biology)
• Prior experience as a lab assistant in a school or educational institution preferred
• Knowledge of laboratory equipment, chemicals, and safety standards

Skills:

• Good understanding of scientific concepts and laboratory techniques
• Attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures
• Organizational skills and ability to maintain records accurately
• Strong coordination and support skills for teachers and students
