Responsibilities:

• Supervise and oversee the day-to-day operations of the school hostel to ensure a secure, clean, and conducive living environment.
• Establish and enforce hostel rules, regulations, and routines to maintain discipline and encourage a sense of responsibility among students.
• Monitor students’ activities, including study hours, recreational time, and mealtimes, to ensure adherence to schedules and guidelines.
• Provide guidance, counseling, and support to students, addressing their academic, personal, and emotional needs as required.
• Collaborate with school management, teachers, and parents to communicate student progress, behavioral issues, and concerns effectively.
• Organize and oversee recreational and extracurricular activities for hostel residents to promote a balanced and holistic development.
• Ensure the safety and security of students by implementing emergency procedures and maintaining vigilance within the hostel premises.
• Manage hostel facilities, including room allocation, maintenance requests, and inventory control of essential supplies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Social Work, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience (1 -2 years) working in a similar capacity, preferably as a hostel warden or in a student-centric role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents.
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage and mentor a diverse group of students.
• Understanding of CBSE guidelines and a commitment to upholding the school’s values and ethos.
• First aid and CPR certification would be advantageous.
• Willingness to reside on campus and work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings, as needed.
