Librarian (School & College Library)

Role & Responsibilities

We are looking for a responsible and organized Librarian to manage the school and college library effectively and maintain proper academic resources for students and faculty.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the library for both school and college students and maintaining books, journals, and reference materials.

• Maintaining proper cataloguing, classification, issuing, and return systems of books.

• Following standard library formats, rules, and procedures for maintaining library records and documentation.

• Managing library registers, digital records, and inventory systems.

• Assisting students and faculty in locating academic books, journals, and study materials.

• Encouraging students to develop reading habits and proper use of library resources.

• Maintaining discipline and a proper academic environment in the library.

• Supporting the institution in administrative and documentation work related to the library.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Library Science (B.Lib / M.Lib) or equivalent.

• Knowledge of library management systems, cataloguing, and documentation formats.

• Basic knowledge of computer applications and digital library systems.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: ₹12,000 – ₹28,000 per month (based on qualification and experience).

• Accommodation facility available for staff (subject to availability and institutional rules).

• Food facility available as per institutional policy.

• Performance-based salary increments.

Institution Details

The institution is managed by Jijamata Rural Development and Educational Trust, which operates CBSE and State Board schools, senior colleges, and pharmacy colleges across Jafrabad Taluka. The trust aims to provide affordable and accessible quality education, especially in rural areas.

Working Hours: Generally 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM (subject to change as per institutional schedule).
