About the Role

We are looking for a disciplined and active Physical Education Teacher (PTI/DPE) to lead our sports department. At J.D.T. Secondary School, we believe physical fitness is the foundation of mental academic success. You will be responsible for promoting a culture of health, teamwork, and sportsmanship among students while managing the school’s athletic programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Physical Training: Conduct daily morning assemblies, mass PT drills, and lezim/hoop exercises.
• Sports Coaching: Train students in major sports such as Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Volleyball, Football, and Cricket.
• Athletics: Prepare students for track and field events (sprints, relay races, long jump) for Inter-school and Zilla Parishad (ZP) competitions.
• Yoga & Wellness: Integrate Yoga and stretching exercises into the weekly curriculum to improve student focus and flexibility.
• Event Coordination: Take the lead in planning and executing the Annual Sports Day and internal “House” matches.
• Discipline & First Aid: Maintain playground discipline and ensure basic first-aid protocols are followed during injuries.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Graduation in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.)
• Experience: 1 years of experience in a Mumbai-based school. Familiarity with local inter-school sports networks (DSO/MSSA) is a plus.
• Skills: Strong command over march-past and drills, knowledge of current rules of various sports, and excellent leadership skills.
• Aptitude: High physical stamina and a professional, disciplined approach to student management.
