Indian Public School is seeking a creative and articulate TGT English Teacher. We believe that English is not just a subject but a global life skill. We are looking for an educator who can go beyond the textbook to develop students’ reading, writing, listening, and speaking (LSRW) skills, preparing them for academic success and confident public speaking.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Literary Instruction: Teach English Prose, Poetry, and Drama for Classes 6 to 10 according to the CBSE/NCERT syllabus.
  • Grammar & Composition: Provide a strong foundation in functional grammar, creative writing (essays, letters, reports), and comprehension.
  • Communication Skills: Conduct “Spoken English” sessions and language lab activities to improve student fluency and pronunciation.
  • Co-curricular Leadership: Organize and judge literary events such as Debates, Declamations, Elocution, and Creative Writing competitions.
  • Board Prep: Train Class 9 and 10 students for Board Examinations, focusing on marking schemes and answer-writing techniques.
  • Content Creation: Contribute to the school magazine and oversee the drafting of official school reports or newsletters.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Education: B.A. or M.A. in English Literature from a recognized university.
  • Professional: Mandatory B.Ed. degree.
  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in an English-medium school.
  • Skills: Near-native fluency in English, excellent vocabulary, and a deep understanding of English phonetics.
  • Aptitude: Passion for literature and the ability to mentor students in personality development.
