Job Description
The role involves ensuring adherence to CBSE guidelines, maintaining academic standards, managing staff, and fostering a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Academic Leadership
- Assist in planning and implementing the academic curriculum as per CBSE norms
- Monitor lesson plans, classroom delivery, and student progress
- Ensure effective teaching-learning practices across all grades
- Support teachers with training, mentoring, and performance improvement
2. Administration & Operations
- Oversee day-to-day school operations in coordination with the Principal
- Ensure discipline, punctuality, and adherence to school policies
- Manage timetable planning, substitutions, and workload distribution
- Supervise school records, documentation, and compliance requirements
3. Staff Management
- Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and training of staff
- Conduct classroom observations and performance evaluations
- Encourage professional development and continuous learning among teachers
4. Student Management & Welfare
- Address student discipline and behavioral issues
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment
- Monitor attendance, academic performance, and overall development
5. Parent & Community Engagement
- Coordinate parent-teacher meetings and communication
- Handle parent concerns in a professional and timely manner
- Represent the school in meetings, events, and external interactions
6. Compliance & CBSE Requirements
- Ensure adherence to CBSE affiliation bylaws and academic policies
- Coordinate inspections, audits, and documentation for CBSE
- Implement guidelines related to examinations, assessments, and reporting
7. Co-curricular & School Activities
- Plan and oversee events, assemblies, and extracurricular programs
- Encourage student participation in competitions and activities
Qualifications:
- Postgraduate degree with B.Ed. (mandatory)
- Minimum 5–10 years of teaching experience, with leadership exposure preferred
- Strong knowledge of CBSE curriculum and regulations
